Shipping & Delivery
How long does shipping take?
Orders typically ship within 48 hours. Standard ground shipping generally takes 3–5 business days, while expedited shipping typically takes 2–3 business days. You’ll receive tracking information as soon as your order ships.
Do you ship internationally?
We currently ship within the United States only. International shipping is planned for later if the need exists.
Can I send White Matter Coffee as a gift?
Absolutely. Select the gift option at checkout and include a personalized message for the recipient.
Coffee & Quality
Why does White Matter Coffee cost more than grocery-store coffee?
Because specialty coffee and commodity coffee are not the same product. Our coffees are thoughtfully selected for quality, freshness, flavor, and traceability.

You’re investing in a noticeably better cup of coffee—without having to sort through endless options yourself.
How fresh will my coffee be when it arrives?
Our coffee is roasted close to the time it ships. Most coffees reach their ideal flavor several days after roasting, so your coffee should be ready to enjoy shortly after it arrives.
Can I buy green coffee beans to roast at home?
Not yet. Green coffee options are planned for a future release. For now, we’ll handle the roasting for you.
How should I store my coffee?
Store your coffee in an airtight container in a cool, dark place away from heat, moisture, and direct sunlight. A pantry or cabinet works well. Avoid refrigerating it, and enjoy it within two to three weeks of opening for the best flavor.
Subscriptions
How does a coffee subscription work?
Choose your coffee and select delivery every two, three, or four weeks. We’ll ship it automatically.
Can I pause, skip, or cancel my subscription?
Yes. You can pause, skip, or cancel through your account at any time. There are no contracts or cancellation penalties.
Can I change my coffee between deliveries?
Yes. Log in to your account to update your coffee selection before your next order is processed.
Brewing & Equipment
I’m new to brewing coffee. Where should I start?
Visit our Brewing Guide for simple instructions and recommended starting points. A standard drip machine or French press is a great place to begin, and every order includes helpful brewing tips.
What is the best way to brew White Matter Coffee?
Pour-over brewing can highlight a coffee’s more complex flavors, but there is no single correct method. We select approachable coffees designed to taste great across a variety of brewing styles.
Do you sell coffee equipment?
Not yet. We’re curating a focused collection of grinders, brewers, and coffee accessories for a future release.
Satisfaction Guarantee
What happens if I’m not satisfied with my coffee?
We stand behind every order. If your coffee arrives damaged, incorrect, or does not meet your expectations, email diane@whitemattercoffee.com. Please include your order number and a photo if the product was damaged. We’ll work with you to make it right.

How do I track my order?
You’ll receive an email with tracking information as soon as your order ships.
Can I change or cancel an order after placing it?
Contact us within two hours of placing your order. We process orders quickly, so changes may not always be possible, but we’ll do our best to help.
Do you offer bulk or wholesale ordering?

Who is behind White Matter Coffee?
White Matter Coffee was founded by Diane, a nurse practitioner who believes excellent coffee should be easy to find and even easier to enjoy. We partner with specialty coffee professionals to bring thoughtfully selected, freshly roasted coffee directly to you.
Why is it called “White Matter”?
White matter forms the brain’s communication network, connecting different regions and helping information travel efficiently. The name reflects the thinkers, healers, creators, and curious minds we serve—and the coffee that keeps them going.
